Last week
Friday we celebrated Athi’s Birthday at this little gem on Point Road (now known as Mahatma
Ghandi) called The Chairman, with no sign on the front door, situated next to a dilapidated building, you
would not imagine that inside lied such a treasure. It’s exactly what Durban needed, a place with
an amazing atmosphere and bursting with creativity. It’s rustic and eclectic
feel combined with pieces that the
ordinary mind would not put together work so well.I was blown away at every turn.
Love how parts of the restaurant have not been completely
remolded but kept as is and interesting light fixtures, vintage pieces have been implemented creating such
character.
To top it all off, live music in
the background and the birthday girl having a fabulous time.
